There’s something about the morning, when you first open your eyes to the sunlight streaming through your window. Or, cursing the alarm for waking you too early. It is within those first moments of untouched awareness in which the new day has begun, that I feel most at peace within myself. Nothing has crossed my path to direct my attention other than the present moment. No thoughts or worries of restriction, excersize, eating. Just peace.
I lay in bed and set good intentions for the day. A new sense of hope and intuition for what is next to come.
And then I start my comforting morning rituals;
Stretching/yoga, coffee, breakfast, blog reading.
So simple, yet so satisfying. I love savouring my mornings, recently I haven’t been getting ready and going out till at least 11am.
And that’s okay 🙂 Although I can’t get too used to that, cause in September I’ll be in class by 8:30.
